• Must have a great depth of expertise across the integration domain covering SOA and Microservice Architectures.
• Assist project leadership in designing the approach for API-led integration and API Management projects, including a selection of technologies, setting technical directions, estimating/ planning and directing developers.
• Define standards and guidelines around Scalability, Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management, Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution.
• Knowledge of SOA and API Design patterns for building integration systems ground up using Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed delivery, Message sequencing, Batch message processing, error handling, and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Assist in preparing roadmaps & strategies for the Integration department.
• Acts as an advisor on all technologies & tools selection relating specifically to the Integration domain.
• Creates current and target state architectures with a focus on the integration domain.
• Responsible for designing solutions that meet Functional and Non-Functional requirements whilst adhering to Architecture principles and Technology standards, follows the ‘Architect to Operate’ as a key principle to ensure solutions transition smoothly Into Run.
• Promotes reusability of existing solutions by adopting approved integration design patterns.
• Responsible for signing off on the Non-Functional testing ensuring the correct types of testing are conducted as per the application type (e.g., Customer-facing transaction application requires performance testing) identifying architecture-related risks for integration and putting the correct mitigation plan in place and managing until resolution.
• Maintain a broad and up to date and latest market trends, competitive insights, and technologies whilst sharing these within the technical community.
• Manage and maintain Enterprise Architecture Repository with the latest architecture artefacts.
• Contributes to broader architectural governance activities by participating in peer reviews to ensure we are robust, reliable, and high performant.

Professional Requirements:

• Well versed with API lifecycle management
• Well versed with API gateway platforms
• Well versed with integration methodologies and API design methodologies
• Must have experience with design, development, and deployment of SOA based architecture for a large organization leveraging multiple COTS Business applications.
• Experience with XML, JSON, XSLT, WS-•, SOA/Integration, and API Management technologies and standards
• Experience with all aspects of the system Implementation process of system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post-implementation support.
• Extensive experience applying Service Oriented Architecture (WA) concepts including REST-full and SOAP-based services
• Knowledge of Swagger or other API documentation technologies as well as Integration with API portals
• Experience with micro-services architecture and REST oriented architectures
• Knowledge about API design standards, patterns and best-practices
• Knowledge and experience in designing and Implementing SOA and API Governance
• Hands-on experience In API security standards and implementation (Oauth, Openld)
• Good background in strategically aligning, consolidating, and remediating point-to-point integration with API
• Has strong experience In the API design, Integration Architecture, Solution Design, and Development using API/SOW solutions
• Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and creative in solving problems, experience in using design thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident presenter with a high degree of comfort in, front of audiences of all sizes and ability to translate complex subjects simply (Senior Executives, IT management and developers)
• Ability to build strong relationships across multiple IT teams including Infrastructure, application, security, and data
• Always puts the customer first.
• Good leadership and teamwork skills with strong experience of working collaboratively in an ask environment using SCRUM, Kanban, etc to deliver new products and services.
• Constantly strives for better ways of doing things – does not remain happy with status quotient.
• Solid understanding and experience of ITIL covering incidents, Problems & changes to Improve the Operations Architecture
• Breadth and Depth of Technical knowledge covering: Machine teaming, Artificial Intelligence, RPA, Mobile, Web, Cloud
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman, including the development (and ensuring adherence to) of Architecture principles and standards.
• Experience in one or more of the technology areas: Cloud Computing, Big Data, Web and Mobile Technologies, Open-Source Software and Next Generation IT technologies.
• Highly developed critical evaluation skills, and the ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors/master’s in computer science or Engineering

Minimum experience: 

• 10+ years of work experience In an Integration Architecture/Consulting related position ideally with experience in one of the following industries: Banking & Telco
