Job Description

• Work closely across cross-functional internal and external teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the development life-cycle.
• Implement and validate strategies for continuous integration, build, test and deployment for cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implement automated, dynamic environments to support the needs of development teams.
• Manage a service critical codebase with version control using Git.
• Automate and maintain multi-stage deployment to cloud-based production environments for scalable systems (any system or subsystem – networking, applications, load balancers)

Requirements

Hands-On experience in:

• Proficiency in any scripting language e.g., Bash/Python.
• Any SCM like Git.
• CI/CD pipelines design for staging and production environments
• Setting up highly available, fault tolerant and scalable applications in public cloud (preferably AWS).
• Automating and infrastructure provision using Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Container orchestration tool (ECS and EKS).
• Various monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK, Grafana etc. (optional)

Soft Skills

• Self-driven
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
• Comfortable with being uncomfortable.
• Team player.
• Communication (oral and written)

About Emumba

Emumba started in 2011 as a product company with two flagship products: Cricout (a social network around Cricket), and PatientsWithPower (a healthcare platform for cancer patients and treatment hospitals). Both products, though technically successful, were a business failure. Emumba made a pivot to the software services business in 2015 and has never looked back since then. Based out of Islamabad, the company now has 200 people with world class customers.
