Job Brief

The Linux Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Linux-based systems. Expertise in Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security is essential for supporting our infrastructure and optimizing system performance.

What You’ll Do
  • Plays a key role in installation and configuration activities.
  • Takes care of installing or upgrading required software on on-prem VMs
  • Monitoring of VMs for their uptime
  • VMs upgrades and patch updates
  • Configuring alerts for monitoring the functioning of VMs
  • Installation of Kafka clusters and monitoring of the same
  • SSL certification installation and updates
  • Involved in implementing resource management and monitoring methods and tools.
  • Monitors and administers system access and resources.
  • Supports resolution of production incidents
  • Involves in mitigation plans for identified risks and problems.
  • Partnership with the DevOps team for required automation of infra setup.
  • Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
What You Know
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience.
  • Strong with Linux administration. In-depth knowledge of Linux OS and System fundamentals
  • Excellent programming and hands-on experience in Python. Have worked on Python projects end to end.
  • Excellent scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell
  • Hands-on with Jenkins and Rundeck(preferred)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Understanding DevOps automation
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes concepts and docker build deployment.
  • Version control systems: Familiarity with Git, and JIRA, Service now desired.
  • You have superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Working in shifts
  • Hands-on experience on Jenkins Pipelines
  • Networking information
  • Database skills like Oracle, Cassandra
  • Knowledge of Firewalls
