Project Manager


Job Description:

The Project Manager job is to plan and oversee all aspects of projects and to meet the project’s goals on time and within budget. It will require him/her to organise people, tasks and resources to bring about a successful conclusion to each project and ensure all processes are carried out regularly and successfully. S/he will play the role of Scrum Master when/where is required.

 Responsibilities:

  • Processes – Identify, create, implement, optimize and streamline processes for cross-functional collaboration between all relevant teams.
  • Rituals– Owner of the agile process: ensures that all team members follow the Agile rituals and practices. In case of failure escalated to the team lead, manager or PO.
  • Project scope – Ensure the relevant teams document and share the scope and goal of every project.
  • Documentation – Ensure all relevant teams document tasks and activities in the defined collaboration tools.
  • Project definition– Define timelines, deliverables and responsibilities at the start of project
  • Business and financial – Be aware of the business and financial impact of each project being undertaken.
  • Raise alarm – Raise a flag with Head of PMO in case a project is at a risk of budget overrun or time delay and find solution to mitigate delays and budget overruns 
  • Dashboard – Setup dashboard to monitor and analyse performance related to process efficiency and share this regularly with senior management.
  • Retro – At the completion of projects do a retro to discuss the learnings, failures and document in the required format for future reference.
  • Knowledge– Continuously upgrades his/her knowledge related to agile and other domain knowledge as well as relevant best practices in iconic companies worldwide.  

General Requirements:

–        At least 4 years’ hands-on experience of managing full-life cycle of IT projects.

–        Must have exposure of SCRUM and/or other agile methodologies.

–        Demonstrated thorough knowledge and skills in project management tools and techniques.

–        Good to have relevant postgraduate qualifications or international certifications.

–        Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

–        Self-started, motivated, result-oriented and disciplined.

–        Attention to detail, patience, and a positive, customer-centric attitude.

–        Expert in one or more project management tools/software.

–        Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
