We’re looking for an analyst to contribute to our overall growth strategy

We are seeking an experienced marketing analyst with a strong understanding of web analytics, the customer acquisition funnel and growth tactics, focusing on DigitalOcean’s AI/ML portfolio. Embedded in the AI/ML Marketing and GTM team, this individual will serve as the expert on clickstream data by analyzing overall web performance, implementing an updated attribution methodology, advising on growth experimentation, as well as providing recommendations and generating ideas for net-new growth initiatives in an exciting new space.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting up tagging and establishing a clear and consistent multi-touch attribution methodology across the entire customer lifecycle starting with our digital properties
  • Analyze web usage trends including visitor and purchaser behaviors split by acquisition channel (organic, paid, referral and direct load) utilizing Google Analytics, Google Search console, web log files and other data sources
  • Provide reporting as needed to stakeholders on critical KPIs around customer acquisition, channel and campaign performance and other needs – utilizing SQL and data reporting and visualization tools
  • Drive project test strategy and test plan, utilizing various testing methodologies and web automation tools covering end-to-end experience for our web properties
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure adherence to privacy laws as well as informing them about ever-changing landscape of analyzing web-based activity
  • Continuously test code implementation using browsers’ developer consoles, advising on quality control issues and suggesting improvements as it relates to Web Services, APIs, backend components and continuous integration scripts
  • Act as a liaison between business, marketing and technology teams to ensure all stakeholder requirements are adequately captured and inform implementation roadmap

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • Hands-on proven experience in Marketing analytics
  • Experience with Google Analytics (or similar web analytics tools), Excel and SQL a must; Looker, A|B testing, and Google Search Console experience preferred. Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool), Marketo, or HubSpot a plus
  • Prior experience with establishing and maintaining attribution methodologies highly preferred
  • Fluency with analytics across multiple channels including marketing campaigns (email, PPC, events, etc.), web, and product
  • Strong analysis skills – You love to tell stories with numbers and use data to inform strategy
  • Experience juggling multiple projects – You can easily manage multiple projects at once and are able to work in a fast-paced, autonomous role
  • Excellent communication skills – Whether it is data visualization or presenting results, you can easily share the key takeaways with executives, peers, or customers.
  • A proven track record of working cross-functionally to optimize campaigns and other growth activities
